Cat Breed Guide: Norwegian Forest Cat!

In today's cat news, I was roused from my slumber this morn to a couple small explosions, looked out my window to see the sister shed to Salad's ancestral Cat Shed was completely engulfed in flames. Now I didn't have my eye on B-Man all night to know if he had anything to do with arson yet again, but he's not spoken a word to me all day, which is concerning. Regardless, we still have an untorched apartment for the time being, so I'm trying not to cause any waves.
This week's breed was suggested by Jackman Eschenroeder, Semiottermatic, Emmett, Julie Marcussen, Ally Murphy, KibaWolfPangolin, and It's Not Blue! Thanks so much, y'all! I like these guys because: fluffy, and also, small stupid little head drowning in fluff. I think that's great!!

2024-02-27 23:06:32 +0000 UTCWhen I was in Norway years ago one of my friends there had one of these. It was an indoor/outdoor cat and since I was there in the summer, it was shedding quite a bit. But what I found fascinating is that it had a lot of matted fur and the shedding would come off in clumps of it. When I asked he said "Oh yeah, that's what they do, they get dreds and they just fall off in the summer".
