My canon is that after one plant is bought. Pas becomes obsessed and starts buying a load of plants to keep in the house. Yes.. everything is coming together.
One thing I love (probably the only thing too...;;) about living in a place and not speaking the language well is how seeing how eagerly people still try to communicate with me despite the language barrier.. it's just.. so nice.
And I like to think even though Pas and Nils mom don't understand each other, they have a common language which is love for Nil..
