The robot from the beginning of episode 9 looks vaguely similar to an AT-AT from Star Wars. Also, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN STAR WARS?!!! Episodes IV, V, and VI (the original movie trilogy) are sci-fi classics. You really should check them out. I don't know if you would count the way that Yuu just ends up referring to the white creature in episode 10 as naming it, really. She just refers to it as Nuko, after the way it mis-pronounced "neko." Some subs have it translated as "Cut."
