Regarding Jerry Garcia and Cherry Garcia, there was overlap. I think he sued them for use of his name? Anyway he made enough from it that he told one of his almost wives near the end of his life “I should just quit music and live off the ice cream money.” Strangely I think it was Hagen Das that lead to his various diabetic crises.
