2023-08-12 01:48:41 +0000 UTCThere's a very funny inverse phenomenon to the Rolling Stones pretending to be down on their luck bluesmen that doesnt get talked about as often because music just didn't really go in that direction where people like Alan Lomax or James Carpenter or further back like Francis Child would get taken around to bothies and flophouses in Scotland and record people like Jimmy MacBeath or John Strachan or Jeannie Robertson. Weird to think about nowadays
