What a powerful prologue! I certainly don't have sympathy for the vampires, especially after this start. I don't know ANYTHING about the characters so I'll going in totally blind, but I'm intrigued by what will happen to this unnamed person π

(I'm assuming Dario, and not some other vampire) I kinda hope he got his wish of his parents crying over him (not for their POV of course, but his. .and hope they survived the war) nice bit of world building there! looking forward to more!
