I don't have the footage of what comes after the initial sketch because I moved to my computer + Cintiq + CSP to refine and color this, while the first part I drew on my Samsung Tablet and the program I use there (HiPaint) allows me to record the entire process very easily. I hope it's interesting to watch! If it is, I'll try to post more in the future!

So, what do we have here? Of course, absolutely broke college student Takami Keigo who works his ass off to maintain himself, his alcoholic mother, and the scholarship that’s his only chance at a better life. On the other side of the ring please welcome relentless prosecutor Todoroki Enji, or maybe a police chief, who’s more married to his job than his wife—and yet she’s still very much in the picture, even though their marriage is basically a farce kept together only for appearances and their kids’ sake.
Should they meet each other because Touya reluctantly brings Keigo home to work on a uni project? Should Keigo be wearing his golden boy mask, or should Enji get to know him as the lap and pole dancer who’s clearly living up to his stage name by the way he vaults?
What if Enji first comes across the brilliant student who manages to get his slacker eldest son a high score? What if only after he witnesses “Hawks” grinding on a sleazy man’s lap & counting the cash they tucked into his leather harness with a wet finger, leaving lipstick stains on it?
What if it’s the other way around and Enji is forced to deal with his prejudice toward Hawks when he finds him in the last place he would've expected—his very home, sitting at the dining table with note-packed books spread before him, as Touya yawns and makes him work for two? Yes, the boy has proved to be useful as an informer, but Enji must admit what’s truly remarkable is his way too sharp mind, his wit, the stubborn way he keeps moving forward although life probably didn’t hand him the best cards, if Touya’s digs about his home situation are true.
Oh but that’s quite the understatement, isn’t it? Because what if this isn’t actually the first time they meet? :)) Keigo would rather eat his go-go boots than come clean, tell Enji his surname, and thank him for throwing his father in jail. Enji obviously hasn’t recognized him as the scrawny kid he used to be, and Keigo… he'd like to show his gratitude in some other ways, given the chance.
(I’m gonna kms Enji once says, “A little bird told me” because Keigo has helped him on a case and the pet name just sticks)

When Naoki wears it vs when Celeste steals it

Just a simple, little something that kept on popping into my mind while I was putting together a Pinterest board for Naoki and one for Celeste. Someone at the last con I tabled at told me they'd like to cosplay neste (!!!!!!!!!) and asked me for some references for their clothes. That surely got me thinking, since until now I've mainly drawn them with their "basic" outfits or well... with no outfit at all.
When Celeste becomes Naoki's, he pretty much takes possession of everything in his house (from the bed to his wardrobe), so Celeste's night-to-night attire mostly consists of too-big shirts, sweaters, haori... but then there are the party clothes, tailored to fit Celeste's body and sure to turn heads. At any rate, be it a borrowed or custom outfit, Naoki is very proficient at tearing it off Celeste as soon he gets his hands on him. :))

It's quite the endeavor for someone who's never even kept a sketchbook (shocking I guess?), but I'm finding that doodling without a precise goal in mind can be quite fun. Honestly, thank you for the last months. I know that lately I haven't been as productive as before, but Sasha's passing and this burnout I've been flirting with since the beginning of the year have put me through A Lot. I'll be completely honest with you; my mental health has hit a historical low this month—my 30-year-old birthday month, thanks, I hated it. Luckily, therapy is helping; I'm under treatment and as of now I'm feeling somewhat better. But I miss my friend like crazy and sometimes I just don't know what to do with this grief. I wish to release it through my art, one day. For her, and all the art she won't ever be able to create.
For the time being, tomorrow I'll celebrate her during Samhain, and in a week, I'll be with her other besties Rita (Dark Tarou) and Kisu (Kisu-no-hi / @la_bordeliere) at Y/CON in Paris... which we were supposed to attend along with Sasha. We'll do everything in our power to keep her memory alive by setting up her booth next to ours, the way it was supposed to be, for one last time. Fuck, I know I'll cry 24/7. If you happen to be in town and are interested in a convention that's all about Yaoi and Yuri, come say hi. 💜 If not, please keep me in your thoughts, god knows I'll need it. I feel like this experience will be a sort of threshold, and once I'll be past it, I'll find the strength to get up and get going.

Speaking of this WIP: I love these two old men and their relationship so much that they get a ship name 💀 Childhood friends who find each other again right when they need it the most; one of them who has grown bitter and older, the other who looks exactly like a ghost from the day they lost everything. Grumpy/Sunshine bromance at its finest. The way some part of Dario is still a 22 yo idiot and Naoki needs to remind himself he's not 18 anymore when they're together. Inject that shit into my veins.
