The body does a pretty good job clotting if you cover it for a few seconds. What I saw with the Masaii was they rub cow dung on it for a sec and it stops.

How do they close the wound of the cow afterwards so it stops bleeding? Have been wondering about that since I first saw a documentary about the Mursi. There seems to be quite some blood pressure on that vein (artery?) that they open up...

Razors are really sharp, and strangely the sharper things are the less they hurt. Most my tattoos were worse for sure. For the blood after, I didn't see it real life, only on Ben's footage. I'm guessing he spurted the last mouthful because he was full, or maybe realized 1.5L was a little too much. 😆

Glad to see the healed results. What an incredible experience! Those thorns were a bit hard to watch, but I can imagine it might not have hurt as much as you thought. Sometimes we build up the amount of pain we think something is going to be because we know to anticipate it. Do you know why that guy spit out the blood at the end? I mean, I certainly don't blame him, but was curious if there was a reason. Thanks for the vids, and I concur with lez paul, you would probably win Naked & Afraid!
