Since Buffy episode titles tend to have multiple meanings, I always thought that in addition to the song lyrics, Never Leave Me also refered to Buffy never leaving/never giving up on Spike. It could also refer to the special connection Xander and Anya still seem to share.

Xander had the plans for both the old Sunnydale High and the new one. When he pointed out where the principal's office was, one of them thought that either the principal was evil or would be affected by the Hellmouth. I believe Buffy's term was 'a bidet of evil."
