For a lot of Catholics or those raised in Catholic faith the bible studies like that in other faiths are not regularly taught. In the same way. I understand about knowing the word as I heard it growing up in baptist church and heard many interpretations from many other faiths. I joined the Catholic Church of Franciscan Spirituality at 50. What I love that I learned and know from an amazing Jesuit priest is that I can communicate with the divine including the hear and now. I was encouraged to focus on what God has to say to me presently. I grow closer to God every day. I don’t study the Bible and for me God is okay with that.
