After combat tours in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, Haley transitioned to private military contracting with Blackwater USA, where he participated in high-profile operations including the 2004 Battle of Najaf. He later co-founded Magpul Dynamics, revolutionizing firearms training for civilians and professionals alike. In 2011, he founded Haley Strategic Partners, a company dedicated to advanced tactical training and product development for military, law enforcement, and responsible armed citizens.

I’ve watched almost every operator interview Shawn’s done & Travis Haley is the realist and most valuable asset this countries ever had, the man is a real hero regardless of how he sees himself. I don’t think I’ve ever cried that hard watching a grown man tell a story ever. I could feel his pain thru empathy. We need more people with his kinda mindset, compassion and love he has for his country, his team and people in general
