The MCU hits its stride in Phase 3... widely regarded as the best phase of all of them, so of course I don't think this is accurate. No question most people watching are patiently waiting for Phase 3 because that's when people get really invested and things get good. The first avengers had plenty of meta humour. It's great if done right, and usually it is done right.

This is when Marvel movies started to become super goofy and hammy with kind of cringe, meta jokes. It became harder to take Marvel movies seriously after they started inserting that kind of goofy humor in the movies, undercutting all the tension and drama with quips and quasi-fourth-wall-breaking jokes all the time. Not a big fan of this movie. I mean, it's not bad...it's just not great. I would put this on the lower tier of Marvel movies. Whereas the first Ironman was an S tier movie, I would say this is a C tier, maybe even a D.
Also, I really, really, REALLY think you should watch the Daredevil show. That's some good Marvel right there.

I really want to see them react to the Monty Python movies. Mainly the holy grail and the life of Brian.

I didn’t really care about the mandarin cause I didn’t read the comics but i did like the dark tone of the mandarin and showing that tony can have PTSD after seeing the chitauri army and almost dying from the battle

Magy was able to confuse herself by others in a recent livestream about how to say it correctly, so there’s still hope to hear it yet again 😂

I don't really care for this one because the whole reason Aldrich is a villain is because he got butthurt that Tony blew him off. Tony was drunk and either forgot about the meeting or never intended to meet him, either way, Aldrich is a whiny baby, boohoo.

Agreed, except for the Mandarin part, the movie is excellent, especially the part which highlights just how much the invasion affected Tony, how he refused to deal with the PTSD until he had no way around.

I think Iron Man 3 is better than iron man 2. However understandingly a lot of people don't like it for what they did to the Mandarin compared to the comics. That being said I think this movie is great just from the perspective of Tony in seeing how much the alien encounter affected his whole attatude with what is seemingly PTSD and the drive to protect the ones he loves from such encounters again.

They did the Mandarin dirty, but i think it's still a good movie from a character development perspective. Seeing just how much the alien invasion in avengers permanently affected him and how it has huge lasting affects the rest of the series.

Because it butchered the Mandarin's character after teasing the concept of the 10 Rings in such a cool way during the 1st Iron Man movie.

This is such an underrated movie. Idk why this gets a lot of hate.
