Greetings adventurers, and welcome back to the Hordelands!
In this set we've got the first marker of tribal life in the plains, with a chieftain's yurt marking the first signs of civilization in this lands! The various camps of the Plainsmen dot the landscape, as much in community as for protection.
The mood in these are festive and expansive, though variations of darker fog-covered plains are included here too.
Following their instructions you may climb the correct rock outcrop - one of the millions of otherwise unremarkable protrusions on the steppes - for the tournament corral, where herders and archers come to show ware and tear. Here are the contests of feat and strength, and the prize - one of the last wayfarer bells that marked entrances and roads into the desert. Winning these may offer an adventuring party a way forward...
Variations come in day/night, and a fey variant for when the wayfarer's bells are rung.
