Playtest week and more

Well what a week!


Thank you for everyone taking part in the playtest and the feedback. We're working hard to fix all the bugs and add some quality of life updates.


So for the next few weeks at least we will continue squashing bugs and improving what you've seen. Keep that feedback coming, it's invaluable to us.


Some behind the scenes goodies now. the last feature to be worked on before the playtest this week was Belica's head turning.



One of the ways games can feel much more immersive is the ability for a game to react to something that you do in the world. When the camera turns so does Belicas head so she'll be looking where you are.

For the people who love Belica do not worry, whenever you are taking a look at her face she will look straight ahead. If enough people request for it over at the Discord Patreon chat we might add a custom idle animation too if the player looks at her long enough.

We'll post more behind the scenes stuff on the next Main post. We're realistically looking to have a big update post every two weeks. That gives us time to continue with bug fixing. 


Once again thank you for being on this journey with us and helping to achieve our goal and make a great game. Please be patient as we work through fixes and add everything we can to make Opaldune a better experience. We're an extremely small team but we are all working hard.


Bug fixes

- Players could teleport through to the save room using the control panel

- Esc button not working on interaction areas

- Mouse disappearing on main menu

- Alt controls using arrows, numpad 0 (interact), numpad 1 (reload)

- Redundant health packs removed

- Menu not turning on

- Guard save room Number pad bug

- Attuned (enemy) biting though walls

- Z fighting bug

- Walking on ledge bug



Quality of life improvements

- Alternative controls using arrows and number pad

- Forcefield added in save room when control panel is activated

- Power up and power down sounds added for save room control panel

- Level design to help players navigate hanger area
