Alright everyone, they're here!

This is an updated version of the Fantasy Rankings as we head into the third and final weekend of the preseason, and this version also includes tabs for Full-PPR!

Keep in mind that the receiver orders and tiers are quite similar between Half and Full PPR, while the running back orders were more differentiated. That is largely because over the last decade or so, the NFL has moved away from "slot machine" types of receivers that benefitted from high volumes of targets at the expense of red zone production and run game utility (those slot machines used to dominate PPR), and now we see a much wider variety of slot archetypes. Power slots, jet/gadget slots, vertical slots, etc.

That shift has made it so that are less receivers that purely benefit from the PPR format relative to the Half-PPR format. Sometimes you'll get a guy like Wan'Dale Robinson who truly is a PPR monster while being lower valued in other formats, but those types are rare these days.

Also keep in mind that average plays per game across the league has declined as well, and the screen game is less effective for many teams too (with some exceptions like Detroit, Arizona, Tampa, etc)...so there's just fewer "cheap" targets to go around these days.

Because of that, generally speaking, the best receivers in one format are going to be the best receivers in other formats now.
