Dynasty Rookie Position Rankings (PPR)

Hey y'all! Just wanted to drop my dynasty rookie rankings for PPR format since I know many of you might have some dynasty rookie drafts this weekend.

If you happen to be in a Half PPR format, these rankings still apply as well because my rookie rankings tend to be less granular than trying to project actual statistics...and most rookies do not get enough catches to swing point projections by more than 1 or 2 points per game anyway, which is basically just splitting hairs. These rankings are more about talent evaluation and projecting the ROLE than they are about trying to nail a projected point total.

If you are in a non-PRR (standard scoring) league and need me to make rankings for that format as well that favor likely red zone opportunities over likely opportunities for touches in between the 20s (i.e., scat backs), I can definitely do that too. Non-PPR vs PPR are different enough that it may warrant a new spreadsheet. But that format seems to be less and less popular these days. Just let me know if you need it.

As for my philosophy on how these guys are stacked, again this is a combination of my own evaluations of these players (which you saw with my NFL Draft rankings last month), as well as a reflection of where I see their role now that they are on an actual NFL team. Receptions are nice, but touchdown potential is king - hence slot receivers and scat backs always taking a back seat to bigger backs with goal line opportunities, or bigger receivers that will theoretically get more red zone work.

If you can find a guy that will get both catches AND red zone opportunities, that's amazing and you just struck fantasy gold!...but there might only be one of those in this entire draft class anyway and he's probably going first overall. For everyone else...we've gotta just project, pick, and pray.
