A little update, and a new tram!
Added 2023-11-29 08:36:44 +0000 UTCHi everyone, I'm currently running a bit behind where I'd like to be in terms of video production, and the next one is still going to take a little while to complete. This time of year is where my day job gets really hectic, so my free time to work on the channel will be limited for the next few weeks.
However, I did get to do something cool today! I got a surprise invite to visit the prototype for the new G class tram, which is located in a big warehouse in the northern suburbs. It's a full size mock up of half the tram, and they're leading through various stakeholders to provide feedback on it such as tram drivers, disability groups, and apparently.. a few people like me. It was very interesting, and this will certainly become the topic of a video, which I hope to get together fairly quickly (it will probably jump the queue and become the next video).
If you're wondering what those other vehicles in the background are, those are the mock-ups for the X'trapolis 2.0. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a closer look at them, despite being tantalisingly close.
Anyway, hopefully next video won't be too far away!

No worries, I'm glad you got to go for a few rides! I saw it come through the city in the morning but then rode the 707 trip to Stony Point. Hopefully the Eaglemont shuttles become a regular thing!

Oh, and thank you for the heads-up that the Greatest Train in the Known Universe would be out doing the Eaglemont trips. I did three shuttles and after a stressful six months at work, it was so nice to soak that Tait magic into my very soul once again! Cheers!
