With 0.9.3 PTB 1 released, we've had a lot of positive feedback both for the performance and the new Yaesu area. Most people have reported an increase in performance compared to 0.9.2.
In case you havent been paying attention to Discord, I have to apologize. Patreon should have had an announcement too. It wont happen again. I'll quickly recap for those that missed it:
- 0.9.3 PTB1 has been released.
- PTB servers updated to run the new PTB version.
- All our downloads are now available in our new website: https://shutokorevivalproject.com/
Our focus now is to dress up Yaesu with proper 3D buildings and scenery.
Its still early days so only a handful of buildings have been done. The ones you can see in the background are still simple OpenStreetMap outlines. Things will get much more lively when trees and advertising signs are added!
The current textures we use for buildings have had a few improvements done to them over SRP's development, however they are still limited in realism and resolution. We are looking forward to some improvements CSP will provide that will let us step up our game. However, until then, we'll just have to wait.
The real area of Yaesu/Ginza is a busy commercial district with many signs and shops that light up the road, in some places even more vividly than the actual streetlights. We hope we can deliver that same feeling within Assetto Corsa. TAIYO has already started work on custom sign textures for the area!
In regards to the road itself, we still need to add toll booths and finish the tunnel. Simskii has been working on it.

Naturally we are also working on fixing bugs that were found by our community on this PTB. So far we are aware of the following bugs (in addition to the known bugs/missing features reported on release):
- Track map (in the UI) is slightly missaligned - Visible when using Comfy Map.
- Some trees are clipping the ground/intrude too much on the road.
- LODs are too short in Bayshore, causing buildings to pop in/out.
- Z fighting noticeable in some buildings.
- Some building materials appear wrong.
If you'd like a closer look at our bug fixing, you can check our Trello page.
We hope you liked this more in-depth progress report post. Let us know if you'd like to see these posted more often.
