Added 2025-10-01 03:32:33 +0000 UTCHi all you excellent Patreon Supporter folks!
The focus for this month is on tying off the head anatomy video series project! Many of you have by now seen the videos, and to be clear, they get across the most essential takeaways for this work. However, there's a bit more to the story, and we're sharing that with you in this special edition of our newsletter.
There's 3 main articles within.
The first article describes why we did this project, what we learned from it, and what we'll do next. Most simply, it is absolutely true that this project investigated how anthro head anatomy will work, and how it can be accomplished in real life. But there's several aspects of that investigation that are crucial to getting something useful out of the work, and being able to plan which followup projects actually need to happen. This article also links to a longer technical discussion for folks interested in more details. This article, as well as the longer technical discussion, are probably best read after watching the videos.
The second article is a pretty quick one. We provide a link to download our 3D models. But, this still represents an important milestone for us. Until now, while we've shared work with the public once it's ready to present, we've really only done that with written analyses. 3D models are something that everyone can now use and play around with, and mistakes would be impossible to hide. Getting to the point where we feel that these models, representing so much work that went into making them, have reached a respectable, professional level that can be shared with anyone - it's an important step.
The final article provides a bit of narrative and timeline about the video production process. It's a short story of a dragon keeping itself disciplined and in the game for a difficult project.
Thank you as always to all of you for helping support our organization. While this project itself was fairly inexpensive, especially compared to what we got out of it - I think several hundred dollars across a couple books purchased as well as access to Visible Body - it wasn't free. And of course, we're starting to think through followup projects that will be more spendy. So, sincerely, thank you for helping make our work possible.
