Question for Mira. After “The Last Church” where do you think the Emperor sits on the ‘bastard scale’?

2024-05-04 14:24:24 +0000 UTCIf you could save one piece of technology from now to be a sacred technology in the 31st or 41st millennium, what would that be?

2024-05-02 10:34:15 +0000 UTCDo you think the Mechanicum are right to be stuck in their ways or should they try to come up with new technologies? Or is that in of itself what leads to the Dark Mechanicum? Regardless I hope you enjoyed the book! You're gonna love Belisarius Cawl...

2024-05-01 20:34:24 +0000 UTCMECHANICUM: I'm not apologising to Mira about anything in this book, its great and was the first heresy novel I read before I knew the heresy series was a thing. Question: as great as this book is, I feel that this book suffers from the same event compression issue that the opening four books had, there's not enough room to really show the complex clusterfuck of martian politics in just one book. Would you agree? Generally would you say the Mechanicum is underrepresented in the heresy? Finally: Do you think the Labyrinth of Mars would pass a health and safety inspection? Not once do I remember there being even a simple safety railing.

2024-05-01 18:38:21 +0000 UTCBeen years (decades ?) since I read this but I still remember, without having to dig out my copy to remind me, 'Blood Games' and 'The Last Church'. The second one even has an appearance of the Emperor himself
