Last Tower of the Mage Lords - Patrons' Edition

I'm back with a pretty fancy wizard tube for you. This isn't your standard 4-level tower for a wizard who hasn't talked to anyone but his cat in the last 2 years. This is for a wizard with friends. Maybe even a few wizards, plus an assortment of apprentices, servants and guards.

Of course, there's also another other option. It's not for everybody, but-- look, do you have airships in your setting? Because this can be an airship if you want it to be. There's nobody stopping you. There's already magic making this thing levitate, so it's not much of a stretch to suggest that there might be magic that lets you fly it around as well. I just wanted to mention that in case anybody has a use for that idea.

I should mention that the name of this place is somewhat misleading. If you're a patron, this is actually the first tower of the mage lords, since I'll be making you two alternate versions of the map: one on land and one in the sea. That shouldn't take more than a day or two. After that, I'll get started on the last alternate level of the Stygian City: the underwater aboleth lair.

All right, I'll be back soon. Let me know what you think!

My pleasure! Glad you like it! Thanks for the idea, by the way!

Wow! This is an excellent interpretation of the proposal! Thank you!

No problem, hope it goes well for you!

Outstanding! This could also be a unusual wizard with a family. Or a Lord or Lady's somewhat eccentric tower.

This is terrific - if my Spelljammer campaign ever segues into a planned Planescape campaign, I imagine a series of these guarding the elemental gates around the edges. All identical layout (as per the map) but one is carved from a lump of carrara marble, another from a chunk of solidified lava, etc. Each tower, of course, governed by an NPC with abilities appropriate to the plane he's guarding. This will be FUN. Thanks!

I'm honored that you'd say so! It's my pleasure!

Milby's Maps

Now that you mention it, between those, the airship maps and the spelljammers I've drawn, I suppose I have drawn quite a bit of flying stuff.

Setting up a battle between these two would be pretty awesome. Mages chucking fireballs at each other while their minions leap across to board the enemy tower, hurling their adversaries over the edge. Just total chaos everywhere.

Milby's Maps

With all your airships and airship-friendly locations I've always assumed that Milbyland would be one with lots of sailing, in the air and water. This one looks like it would be the archenemy of the Flying Rook.

What I love about this is using it in conjunction with some of your other posts. You add the "Rook" & SkyFall towers, really cool campaign baseline.

I love this! I have an adventure where, one day, the sun never sets. Of course, this breaks the world in a major way. I love the idea that a group of mages could lift their tower and reposition it so that it's in a climatically optimal location for survival (dusk, dawn). Your art inspires me. Thank you.
