Wardrobe Tour: SHIRTS (Part 1)

What's a really outstanding fashion movie? Not a documentary, but just something that stands out as a great fashion film?

P.S. lmao I had to split shirts up into 2 vids bc I have 32 shirts

phantom thread, all about my mother, the skin I live in, and 2046. all except for phantom thread are not fashion centered

Question about eccentric bbq dad shirt; are the separate patterns seamed, printed, or appliqué? Just curious ☺️

do they have longer legs, or torsos? i used to fit big+tall men and it’s amazing how different the same size shirt looks on someone relative to their body’s proportions

I loved the barbeque dad shirt! Sometimes boutique-y knockoffs of designers is the way to go esp. if you can't afford the label. Also, the sleeves fit. My husband and son are both over 6 foot and both love fashion and are risk takers even, but they both struggle to find shirts. It's a rarely talked about thing in size inclusivity, but designer brands are not made for tall men. I don't know why since the women's clothes all seem to be made for tall women! (This may just be the perspective a shortie....:D)

Definitely with you on Y-Project :) One of those diamond in the rough brands with excellent construction, a brilliant lead, and on the relatively affordable side, especially used

MOP or pearl buttons: a good dry cleaner will either wrap the button in aluminum foil or remove them before and reapply them after they process they bag them. If yours doesn’t, you need to add that to the notes when dropping them off. Go get yourself a gleaner for wool garments, to remove pilling. A bone folder will also be handy to remove stains usually found in bookmaking supply shops. I found a few on the internet… can remove encrusted stuff so that you don’t have to dry clean it, but obviously it’s your call. @20:07 a Nehru Collar? Ugh. I’m so sorry. It’s THAT shirt. Aight. I owe you an apology. Sorry. @35:11 Back in the day, I’d have called that a bowling shirt, but menswear has changed quite a bit it seems, (like, you used to be able to find mens dress shirts in different lengths) but I envision it made with gabardine, two tucks at the back shoulder to blouse and that cut at the side indicating it was “lounge” so you didn’t have to tuck it -and possibly a pleat in the back between the scapula or a tab to hang it from. I could be wrong. Otherwise it’s comeback was sorta Vince Vaughn “Swingers”, am I following? It’s pretty timeless.
