Reloaded Foundry Module, New Web Demo & More!
Added 2025-10-31 12:01:41 +0000 UTCHey everyone, and happy Halloween! I know it's been a hot minute since I last posted, and I apologize for the long quiet—but I think you're really gonna dig the stuff that I've got to share today.
First: I've partnered with Eidolon Publishing to develop two cool new toys for Curse of Strahd: Reloaded.
First, Eidolon has put together a ready-to-run, fully-functional Foundry VTT module for Curse of Strahd: Reloaded's Arc A: Escape From Death House, developed in partnership with cartographer DM Andy, artists Caleb Cleveland, Printable Heroes, and Lia Pianelli, and composer Friendly's Music. It's got all the bells and whistles you might expect from a Foundry module, and it's completely free.
You can download it here.
Second, Eidolon has also been developing a new platform for presenting adventure modules, codenamed "Project Beacon"—and has used Reloaded's Arc B: Welcome to Barovia as a demo to test out the platform. You can check out the video below for a preview, or play with the demo yourself here.
As a bonus, Eidolon's team has also put together a beta release of the Flesh Golem, a new 5e-compatible species from Eidolon's upcoming Grimoire of Gothic Guests, a collection of gothic player options for your spookiest campaigns. Check it out below!

In addition, I've officially rebooted my Substack as Dramatic Questings: a blog about storytelling, game design, and the craft of DMing. You can check it out to read my latest three articles, titled "TTRPGs are Storytelling Engines," "In Defense of the DMPC," and "Don't Design for Heroes."
Finally—here's a quick pair of previews for the Reloaded Epilogue:
THE ODD COUPLE
When the players first return to I. Black Carriage (p. 37) after completing Arc U - Dreams of Dawn, read:
A familiar crossroads lies ahead, faintly illuminated in the morning sun. One branch leads west, toward Vallaki, and the other south, toward Barovia.
Across the way, something rustles in the bushes behind a tree. You catch a glimpse of a squat silhouette, then hear a sharp, short whine, followed by a muffled shushing noise.
The squat silhouette is Cyrus Belview, who is hiding behind the tree.
Cyrus is joined by the wight Lief Lipsiege.
If the players didn’t retrieve Pidlwick II from Castle Ravenloft in Arc P - Ravenloft Heist, add:
A moment later, something clinks and whirs faintly from the underbrush nearby.
The whirring is Pidlwick II, who is crouching in the bushes near Cyrus and Lief.
RETURN TO VALLAKI
When the players return to Vallaki, read:
Death surrounds the walls of Vallaki—piles of bodies, heaped a dozen high.
The walls are battered, the gates askew, and the road stained with blood. But above it all, fluttering defiantly beneath a clear blue sky, stands a proud flag painted with a golden sunburst.
People fill the road. Some drag bodies toward the mounds of the dead, while others set pyres alight, their leaping flames sending ash into the wind. Some clean debris through the streets, while others patch great holes and gouges in the town’s palisade wall.
Continue, modifying the text as necessary to reflect each character’s current status:
One of the haulers catches sight of you and turns. Though his hair is stained with blood and grime, and though his clothes are torn and muddy, you recognize him: Milivoj. His eyes widen, and he sways faintly, as if in awe.
You recognize other faces in the crowd. Victor and Stella. Arrigal and Luvash, with Arabelle on Luvash’s shoulders. One by one, they follow Milivoj’s gaze—and one by one, their eyes widen in recognition.
Someone begins to clap—slowly at first, then faster, growing in volume as more and more join in. Whoops and cries of joy break through the air, many voices mixing in a single shared message:
They’re back.
They’re safe.
They did it!
Thanks, as always, for your continued support—and I'll see you in the next update <3
Cheers,
Dragna

2025-11-15 02:17:04 +0000 UTCThe field to enter our own description and details for an area is wonderful, but it would frustrate me to no end that it's stored on the computer. I do my prep on one machine and play on another. I'm sure I'm not alone in that sort of situation. There needs to be a way to make the data account-based rather than machine-based.

2025-11-04 16:42:12 +0000 UTCThis...is just too damn cool. I really hope the entirety of CoS reloaded gets imported as a full module to be played on Foundry. Because if so, I won't mind paying loads of money. I will gladly pay it and enjoy dming this thing over and over again.
