Ray Tracing: How CGI Makes Incredibly Realistic Scenes.

This is the most meta video we've made yet simply because one of the main rendering engine inside Blender, the software we use to make our animation, uses Ray Tracing. So it's a video explaining the algorithm behind the making of the video.

Also, this video is a perfect example of seeing something on a daily basis, but no knowing the complexity and math inside of it. Like- I loved watching Shogun recently, and there is just sooo much CGI, but you'd never know because it was so perfectly done and seamlessly integrated. But really a lot of scenes in Shogun had some level of CGI. Same, but even more so applies to Game of Thrones / House of the Dragon. Anywho! We hope you enjoy the video.

Hey! Ah, sorry about that, and thanks for the heads up! I actually have control over the End Screens, so I moved them so that they start directly after the Patreon list. Other videos typically have a longer Outro section, and thus there wasn't a conflict. But for this one I made a shorter Outro. Also, Thank you for watching to the end!

Thanks for the nice video! One comment that end video overlays seem to cover the names of patrons and I guess there is no easy way to hide those overlays. I think for most patrons it doesn't matter, as they likely support not for the names in credits, but just bringing that to attention in case it wasn't the intention. But also I understand that with more patrons they may be harder to organize, so maybe rolling credits could help if list will be growing.

Yeah- the scenes were already built and available on the Blender website, so we didn't have to do nearly as much modelling as we did in the microchip fab video. Tho it was fairly technical so we did have to do a few edits. But hopefully we'll get it down to 600-700 hrs per video.
