Apple is requiring that Patreon use their in-app purchasing system and remove all other billing systems from the Patreon iOS app by November 2024. This means that starting in November, new memberships purchased in the iOS app will be subject to Apple’s 30% App Store fee.
!!! HOW TO AVOID !!!
If you’re thinking of subscribing to my patreon (or anyones) in the future who uses an apple device
TO AVOID EXTRA FEES subscribe on patreon’s website and NOT the app to avoid it!
“Apple’s fee will not impact existing members. It will only affect new memberships purchased in the iOS app from November onward.” I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience, apple loves doing silly goofy unfunny things.
