One thing I noticed about a lot of idol groups is that even if they use senorifics, they try to have a very relaxed dynamic. They probably realized that their groups wouldn't last if they were too strict to each other especially since they are stuck together

It's really the charm of their group now. They're known in the industry to be a group with unique dynamics among members and even with their fans. They radiate positivity and comfort. Also, thank you for sharing the play on words for Han.Woo.Kwan :) And, as the others commented already. WOOZI came from 우지 which is short for 우리 지훈이... His real name is 이 지훈 and he became a trainee when he was very young back then. He was already in Pledis before they started looking for trainees for SVT. The staff adored him so they kept calling him 우리 지훈이. I can't remember how they end up with WOOZI. Maybe it just seems cooler than WOOJI?

2024-03-13 02:17:19 +0000 UTCYep, Woozi was the youngest trainee at Pledis for a while (he joined when he was ~13yo) so the staff called him "uri jihoonie" endearingly. Then it slowly morphed into 우지 over the years and when debut approached, they just went with the nickname everyone already used for him.

2024-03-12 22:24:20 +0000 UTCwoozi is short for 'our jihoon' or 'uri jihoon' in korean which the staffs would always call him. He condensed it into woozi by taking the "U" and "Ji" from the term. His real name is lee jihoon and from what I know his name also stands for "be a wise man" if im not mistaken.
