Money-making Bars for Sims 4 Dine Out!
Added 2023-06-30 12:16:07 +0000 UTCHaving a mixologist on hand at a restaurant should do something for the establishment. For this reason, I am planning to start work immediately on a system that lets you make money off ordered drinks at restaurants.
As a stretch goal for a near-future release, we could perhaps make it work without requiring you to have a chef at all! You might have to slap a chef station in the basement to fulfill lot requirements, but it sure seems like bars could piggyback off the Dine Out systems.
I'm hoping to first make it so that Sims might show up just to get drinks and leave. I'll see if we can make this a bit more official with a mixologist role you can hire... if not ,at least we will have another way to make money off your establishment.
I'd also like to make it so that Sims order a round of drinks or get another course. Sims were supposed to be getting desert in the code but I have never seen it work. Are you guys interested in this?
I will do this before getting started on buffets, so that I don't delay the restaurant-specific settings feature too much. I think I'm going to have to go with pre-plated meals based off the menu to pull that off. Keeping the buffet stocked with a variety will be important, regardless.
All this will take a while, but I think that there is a lot more potential for content related to Dine Out before I move on to some other big project.

2024-03-17 09:22:04 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I never got my restaurants back. I would have to buy them all over again now if I want to run them as normal, they were dropped from my restaurant ownership after that update and updating the real estate mod did not fix it.

2024-01-11 14:52:35 +0000 UTCThis was due to the real estate mod and updating that mod fixes the issue. It was not assigning ownership but all your restaurant should be intact. Sorry I didn't see the message sooner, but hopefully it will help someone.

2023-12-15 01:27:28 +0000 UTCI have NEVER had an issue with this dine out mod however After the recent update you made to dine out , i downloaded it and now all the restaurants I owned are gone from my "owned restaurants" tab so I can no longer operate them. Disappointed because I put a lot of money and effort into my restaurants and it is just showing that I no longer own any restaurants. Also the real estate mod no longer works.

Its unplayable =( I thought I'd be able to download a newer updated one here. But I see that it isnt possible. I understand that it has to be something in your life that u are not able to update the mod. If that is the case, I think you should tell the comunity. I now feel like I've waisted money to wrigh here, and won't be able to play the game with the mod that I wanted to play with. This is not meant to be critical or any thing like that. But how ever, an update could help greatly.

2023-07-31 02:51:42 +0000 UTCI've always wanted to be able to customize my bar food.For example I'd love to have sushi plates available at my bars in MT Komerebi. I can't even have that at the bar in my sushi restaurant there! In most restaurants IRL you can sit at the bar and get a selection of the restaurant's menu to eat there.

And I agree, I have never seen sims order a round of dessert in the restaurants I run, but yes I'd be interested in the ability for them to order more courses!
