Colette - Captain of the Queen's Guard

Colette plays the role of Queen's Guard Captain, being her closest confidant. Seated beside Queen Madeleine during state affairs, she is directly subordinate to her, unlike Delphine, the Chief Commander of the Order, who takes orders from both the Queen and the Grand Master. Colette's prestigious position has always challenged her more than any war. Her combat and leadership skills are respected throughout the nation, to the point where she is elected for the challenge of becoming the new Grand Master, facing her rival, Delphine, on the battlefield and in politics. Colette stands out from her rival by possessing charisma and the love of the people, as evidenced by the various statues erected in her honor throughout Margaux, not by the government, but by the people themselves.

As it is a decision of the people of Margaux and not her own, Colette feels apprehensive about the Grand Challenge. If she wins, she will become the Grand Master but will not be able to choose her successor as the Queen's protector, as this position is decided by the corrupt Margaux War Council, which seeks their own benefits at the expense of the court and the people themselves. Thus, Colette fears for the Queen's life and the future of the kingdom. The Grand Challenge follows ancient rules: death or surrender. If she surrenders, she will lose her position and become a servant to the victor, known for her cruelty and bloodthirsty nature.

However, Colette is not alone. She has powerful allies, not only within the Order but also in the Clergy.
