Whispers from the Writing Nook
Added 2025-08-03 17:22:06 +0000 UTCWords are on the page, book 3 has been started! I’m not sure I’m happy with the first chapter, but it is done, along with a few others. Last week was a productive week, and I’m excited to continue working on the story.
Now that I have the date for the release of book 1, I’m super excited about it. I’m trying hard not to start a countdown for at least another couple of weeks. After that, it will be fair game. We still have much to do to get it into book form. It always amazes me that even though the story itself is done and edited, that isn’t all. The to-do list containing everything else feels very intimidating.
But we will get it done, and in time.
Our weather has been cool in the mornings but scorching in the afternoons. Given that it's August, I won’t complain, and the flower blooms have been lovely. Still, it makes it hard to get things done when that heat hits around two pm. My brain starts to grind to a halt, which means my mornings are way more frantic.
If you enjoy hearing ramblings about my garden, I have a channel about plants in Discord. I did a soft launch of it last week, and people are slowly joining the server to talk about cozy fantasy and Meow. I’m not on all the time, but I peek in and reply to comments, along with asking a question most days of the week. So, if you want to chat about cozy spaces, good books and potential flowers, join us. It does ask a question about why you want to join and you can mention Meow. The questions cuts down on scammers, which I didn’t even know were a thing.
Already my weather is inching warmer this morning, and I need to switch from my hot black tea to something iced. May your days be filled with iced tea and warm stories
