Temple Roots

Hi everyone! This week's map "Temple Roots" [25x30] is special one. Today we present a map with the temple located in a remote forest. Its entrance is guarded by ancient trees, whose roots are as old as the gods and remember the beginning of the universe...

Guardians of this forest are long forgotten, but their shrines and temples are still intact, protected by trees and animals still affected by the strong magic of these places.

One of them, located in the center part of the jungle, is particularly interesting because the legends say that cultists here were able to shapeshift into the giant monstrosities keeping their lands safe.

When I heard about it for the first time I was… mesmerized.
The power! Magical artifacts! They still have to be there!
But I know that traveling alone is dangerous - but do I trust anyone enough to share my knowledge..?

There was my brother, Manu. Accountant in the Bilderban City, scared of his own shadow, sitting at the same safe spot since I remember. But he’s rich! So maybe he would like to sponsor this expedition…

His wife is more adventurous - Anastasia always wanted to travel the world, but since she married my brother she’s substituting flying around the globe with buying the most exotic and weird stuff from the shady sellers.

Is it worth it? Not really, but she’s happy with it!
I think she might be the key to persuade my brother into this trip.

I am the mercenary, but I think we would need at least one more armed man to move safely on the track. And the guide of course!

Oh, it seems more and more like a circus than a serious expedition! I need to have magic experts, maybe a druid or a sorcerer… Warlock? No, they are too dark, and I don’t really like their vibes.

Sitting there I heard a loud knocking at my door, so I’ve decided to check what’s wrong. I was really surprised when I saw Manu with a suitcase and Anastasia on his side, wearing an adventurer’s hat and running around the cart.

“Brother! I’m glad you are here because an old friend of mine might need your help. I know that you are… interested in the old temples in the northern forests and those people might use the hand of a trained soldier. Of course not for free! Also, my wife convinced me to travel too! Aren’t you happy?”

I was… mesmerized. Thrilled. Shocked.
