Winter. A time when cold and snow fill the whole world. At such a time, the adventure of daredevils can be very difficult. Especially when they are to cross a frozen river to reach the ruins of a treasure. Will the ice last? What is hidden in the ruins? What monsters inhabit the area?
"Ice Crossing" [30x40] has 2 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions, ready for Roll20, Foundry or your favourite VTT platform).

The North is not forgiving. One wrong step and you’ll fall to your death - it might be on the thin ice or on the mountain’s pick, the death will get you in its cold grasp.
Only few men went that far, even the maps of this area are just plain white land with a randomly drawn outline.
Wind is howling almost endlessly, catching the snowflakes and shards of ice and throwing them into the faces of travelers. Those who spent more time in the north are scared not by the monsters, they lost their pretty faces to the weather.
But speaking about monsters - wild animals are the least dangerous type. Of course pack of wolves led by a Winter Wolf or White Bear are scary, but you don’t know what the fear is if you haven’t met Yeti or Werebear.
The first ones are trying to avoid humans, but when they are hungry, they are ruthless. Yetis are huge, but their camouflage makes them one of the best hunters in this habitat. And remember, don’t look them in the eyes! It feels like a shard of ice growing on your spine, paralyzing every part of your body, but it doesn’t numb the fear or pain. My boy, don’t ask me how I know.
And Werebears? I’ve seen one in my life and to this day I’m not sure what I was looking at.
He, or should I say it, was a huge beast with a naked torso of a man, but head of the bear. It was chopping another monstrosity, the ugliest Werewolf I’ve ever seen. Long black fur, covered in blood of both of them, and the sound of bones crushed by the axe… It was years ago and I still cannot escape from this memory.
So if you are looking for someone who decided to run away to the north I want to wish you good luck, but I’m pretty much sure they are already dead.
The cold preserves the bodies well, maybe you’ll be able to tell what killed them!
