DADBAIT Day/Night System + Map Screenshots

A few screenshots showing off the Day/Night system in DADBAIT. This took me ages to figure out and code in, plus it went through about 5 huge overhauls over the last two years.

The gist of it is: You spend 3 days on Cape Caldo, and each day is split into 5 segments. (Morning, Daytime, Afternoon, Evening, and Midnight.) Events and dates are happening in real time, and by meeting and speaking to characters the player will unlock new dates and events with them. (possibly even unlocking new locations if I can figure out that coding-wise.)

The time of day can always be viewed in any scene via the hud icon in the top right.

These "events" happen at specific locations, and times of the day. Some of them will even overlap, giving a realistic feeling to the characters that live on Cape Caldo. It's like running into handsome, mature men as they go about their day, and forming tender connections with them.

I took a lot of inspo from life-simulator games like Persona and Devil Survivor for this system, but it was still super hard to realize. It functions how I'd like it now but it needs testing. From people that aren't me. I hope once this is nice and play tested in May you can enjoy exploring Cape Caldo, and the men that live there.
