Another practice for trying out grayscale shading and coloring technique. 

I must admit I struggle quite a lot with this technique. This technique would make the overall image grayer, which a lot of the time make the image look more realistic. But becomes a disadvantage for me since most things I draw, are highly saturated, whimsical characters, which is often in conflict with the technique's grayer presentation. I therefore had to use Photoshop's many color adjustment tools to bring back those saturated color, which make me think why didn't I just color it with saturated color in the first place. 😐

Perhaps you can try this technique with "human" characters, perhaps making a frame that resembles a real photograph, to give it a touch of realism. For example, a good idea to use this more realistic technique could be to draw a family photo with the parents of AJ, AJ, AB and Granny. I think that this technique could be very beautiful in this context = ^ ˽ ° =
