August Writing Update - The Patreon Version!

Hi everyone! Happy August!! I hope that you’ve all been enjoying the summer as it goes into full swing and that the weather has been great for all of you! Here is to hoping that you’ve had plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate over the last while or if not, are planning to soon! In any case this is the first month that our serials have been live over here on Patreon so I wanted to get a big update out as I do on my other platforms!

However before we dive into that - I wanted to reach out and thank all of you who have joined this place over the last month! It's been a huge blast of people arriving here and it warms my heart to see that you've enjoyed both Starbreaker and Scion of Magic! Thank you so much for giving me a slice of your time and I really hope that you enjoy both of these stories as they release!

Now onto the update!

A Month of Small Details

To start off – this was a largely a month of small details and projects for me in addition to kicking off the launch of Starbreaker and Scion of Magic in serial format…so busy in fact that as you can all see I’ve already fallen behind in my Scion of Magic writing (doh!), but not for a bad reason!

In fact, the reason my entire month ended up a little squirreled was because of the awesome feedback you all sent my way for the two stories which resulted in me taking a pause to comb through Starbreaker in particular and touch it up with clarity edits. So thank you all for that!

As for Scion of Magic on the other hand - there's been a good amount of comment regarding the introduction of the story and the quantity of terms that I am currently rethinking and am going to be asking for a heap of feedback on regarding a post to follow this one. So if you've read Scion of Magic and are interested in helping me out more directly, please take a look at this post here!

In any case, with this last pass on Starbreaker done, I am hoping to shift my attention more fully towards Starbreaker book 2 and hopefully Scion of Magic so we can make sure we've got plenty to look forward to in the months to come!

Next Up - Ascend Online: Threads of Fate eBook Version Finally Has An Amazon Release Date!

For those of you who were a fan of this series before - I know that we've been on a journey with this series and its Yonder exclusivity, but I am happy to announce that we finally have a date for when it is going to end – that being November 5th – which is the day that Threads of Fate will launch over on Amazon for all of you Kindle readers! I am also super happy to mention too that the series will be returning to Kindle Unlimited as well!

However with that transition coming back towards Amazon, I want to say thank you for all of you who followed me over to Yonder to try the platform out there! I truly appreciate the support I got there for the books and it is making me very excited to get into book six as soon as I can!

So I’ve Got Some Vacation Planned

Every year I like to take a chunks of time off to rejuvenate and this year one of those chunks are going to be coming up in August and September! For the first half of my vacation is going to be some well deserved R&R starting tomorrow and for the second half it’s going to be to starting on August 22nd as I dive in and enjoy the next World of Warcraft expansion - The War Within.

In general these breaks shouldn’t affect the majority of my overall production regarding Starbreaker. However with my upcoming feedback request, I'll be pausing for a time on Scion of Magic as I take in all your feedback and potentially rewrite some elements of the story. I haven't made this decision finally just yet, but at this point it's clear to me that Starbreaker has something that Scion of Magic doesn't, and I want to take the time (while I still have it!) to get it right.

Regardless I will make it a point to update Scion of Magic as often as I can, but it will likely be as single or multiple chapters dropped at once with no warning or schedule. Starbreaker on the other hand I expect to continue without pause to make sure we’ve got consistent chapters without any pauses other than our regularly scheduled breaks.

Beyond that – I am toying with the idea of streaming parts of my experience as I play The War Within – so if you’re at all interested in seeing that, hanging out with me as I do degenerate things to get ahead and mythic raid ready, let me know and I’ll make it a point to post whenever I am planning on going live!
