SHES DONE i seriously am so excited about this cosplay- i’ve been wanting to cosplay annie since i binge watched the boys when i was in quarantine in 2020 and she was this character i immediately connected with and related to and she helped pull me out of the depressive episode i was in at the time. then, after a very rough breakup with my partner at the time who had always called me the annie to his hughie, told me how much i reminded him of annie, compared our relationship to theirs constantly and got mad when other people said i reminded them on annie lol i… found it really hard to even watch the show. i’ve been rewatching it for the first time since that relationship ended to prepare for this cosplay though and- i’ve just been able to fall back in love with it and completely reclaim it and reclaim annie as a character, because why should i let my love for her be tainted by someone who emotionally abused me? i sHOULDN’T. i love annie and i’ll love her forever and my love for her belongs to me ONLY and no one gets to taint that and i LOVE THIS COSPLAY
