Hi, I am a new member, so far I am really enjoying the content that you are putting out, I was wondering if you can put a link to the original video of the set that you are talking about within the description of the playback episodes to easily find them? Thanks! Keep up the great stuff.

Glad you're enjoying these! As we're just getting started with this project, we're always open to feedback and ways to make it better. Don't hesitate to let us know. Thanks for watching!

We record these sometimes weeks in advance, so while we'll try to explain that in a future video I thought I'd comment here too. When we present or find unusual things in improv, we ideally want to play everything else as real as we can to really highlight the one unusual thing. So "playing at the top of your intelligence" asks that you are as smart in your scene as you would be in real life, perhaps even more so. For example, in the real world if I say or do something and my coworkers think it's weird, I'm well away of that. I can just feel it, even if they don't say anything. Whereas in many improv scenes ppl will do or say something unusual and power on, even when their scene partner tries to question them or call out their unusual behavior. In this case the unusual character is not playing to the top of their (social) intelligence, and are therefore showing two unusual things. The one they wanted to show and the other being, acting different than how ppl do in real life when being called out for unusual behavior. Does that make sense? Thanks for watching and commenting!

I really enjoyed this. Improv is pretty much my main interest. I really got into it 6 years ago when I started a job that allows me to work and listen to podcasts. I quickly went from listening to interview type podcasts to only, and I mean ONLY, listening to improv podcasts. One of my favorite things is when I learn something new about the process of doing these scenes. It's so cool getting to see some of these techniques and how these performers bring it all together. I'll definitely keep watching these!!

This is great! It would be awesome if in future videos you could explain what the improv terminology you are using means. For example, in this video you say “play at the top of your intelligence”. I’ve heard that before, but unsure of what that means in improv (or how it’s used). Maybe that’s not the point of these videos, but I will enjoy learning as much as I can from you and your guests!

Great to actual see and understand your thought processes behind some of your moves. Will try and use some of the mindset/ decision in my own shows. Found this really useful.
