HELLO THERE, dear bros. Welcome to another proof-of-life post. At this point, I wouldn't want to break with tradition and actually post any work-related news or game development updates here. Monday Posts shall henceforth be known as empty fucking posts, from now until the end of time! -_-

SHOP. I did add a new item to the shop though, so make sure to check it out if your clearance is high enough. It's another oldie but a goodie: an SC34 CG illustration featuring Lara.

GAMES. I didn't have too many chances to play Fate/Extra CCC last week, but the few sessions that I did manage to sneak in were extremely fun, as expected. XD

MrLAZARE. By the way, we have an update on the metal pin MrLazare ordered. The Chinese bros in charge of production sent him a short video of the completed item, and I think it looks quite awesome. (I converted the original video into a GIF for everyone's convenience.)

SNOWPEAK. I honestly don't remember if I've mentioned this before or not, but I used to play Snowbreak: Containment Zone quite a lot. I started playing because I accidentally stumbled on a video showcasing the interactive skins they had in the game, but I stayed for the story. I had a lot of fun with the game, and then one day I just stopped playing. But last week, out of nowhere, I had a sudden urge to boot up the game again, and when I did, something really cool happened. XD

WHAT HAPPENED WAS... I got greeted with a story event about my character returning to the base, with the girls throwing a welcome-back party for him. Basically, the game treated my six-month IRL absence as my in-game character going away on vacation, which was such a nice touch, honestly. Usually, in online games you just get a generic welcome-back message and maybe 30 free crystals or some shit, but SnowPEAK actually made me feel like I was really returning back. Made me feel things ^_^

AND THEN... I played through Abyssal Dawn chapter of the main story and, just like that, I was hooked again. Snowbreak has always had a good story, but they really raised the bar with that chapter. I'm an old man, you see; for a piece of media to stir my feelings, it needs to be exceptionally good. That's one of the main reasons I have zero interest in most modern movies and video games: I simply don't feel anything while consuming them. Well, that's not entirely true—I do feel one thing: like I'm wasting my time. But the Chinese bro who was in charge of writing that chapter really knew his stuff. Honestly, he played me like a fucking fiddle. I got so invested in the events that by the end I was literally crying as the story wrapped up. And like I said, when you get to a certain age, you really start to appreciate it when fictional events actually make you feel something.

LOCALIZATION = 1. And that’s about all the news. As for my work, as you have probably guessed by now, I once again have nothing exciting to show off. Still writing, still putting scenes together. Naturally, the first half of Reporter Trainer will contain very few CGs, so for now I’m just writing the story and setting things up. The fun part will come later.
THANK YOU for your support, bros. I will see you all next week! Laterz!
