404 - Post Not Found! XD

HELLO THERE, dear bros! How’s everyone doing? October is almost over, winter is coming and all that. ^^ Before you know it, the year 2025 will be over. Oof, better not think about that too much. It’s another Monday, and you’re reading another Monday Post! Yes, let’s focus on that — the only reliable constant in this world: Akabur’s Monday Posts! o7

MrLAZARE and the pins. The decision on the pin design has been made. Thank you for all the comments and suggestions! In the end, MrLazare (after a bit of gentle nudging from me) decided to go with the safest and surest choice — a genie pin. It’s not clear how the final product will look, so it’s better to be safe than sorry. Also, keep in mind that this whole thing is organized and paid for entirely by MrLazare — my involvement here is very minimal.

THE GAMES. I continue to play Conan (PS3) — absolutely loving it. The game feels a bit unpolished at times but is still a lot of fun. My only complaint is that it puts a lot of strain on my Steam Deck, turning it into a hot and loud monster that devours almost the entire battery charge in less than an hour. On the bright side, you can unlock Camel Punch in the special moves!

THE GAMES (2). Oh, and Fate/Extra CCC continues to prove to be a wonderful experience for the truly cultured men. I love the translation, love the story, love the art direction — love everything about it! I mean, if at a crucial moment in the story the game lets you (among other questions) ask the main villainess whether or not she’s wearing underwear at the moment, you know it’s a masterpiece. XD

LINUX. After watching a video on YouTube, I decided to give Linux a try — only a try for now, though. I created a bootable USB with Linux Mint (Cinnamon edition) and booted my laptop from it. And just like that, I had Linux on my machine! Well, not really, since it was running from the USB, but everything was working fine, and it was nice being able to try out Linux without having to commit to anything just yet. WORK. At the beginning of last week, I unexpectedly discovered that both the skater girl and the bootleg Casey Jones still didn’t have any facial expression variations. So, I had to dedicate a significant amount of time to fixing that. Facial expressions can be tricky — especially for female characters — so it took a while.

WORK(2). And after that, I discovered another problem. You see, the default sprite of the skater girl has her holding her skateboard behind her butt. She looks cute, and I like the pose in general, but as I soon found out, in some situations her maintaining that pose looked a bit out of place. So, I had to spend some time creating a version of her sprite without the skateboard. The final result looks good — but I’ll let you discover it for yourself while playing the game.
