369 - Hello There Fellow LINUX Users.

HELLO! I hope you are doing well, bros. It is time for another Monday post. Let's do this thing!

LINUX. I am starting to prepare mentally for the inevitable (for me) switch from Windows to Linux. It probably won't happen tomorrow, or the day after, but at least that I something that I am considering strongly now. To that end I have been watching a lot of videos from Andrea Borman's channel. She does a great job explaining things and the way her videos are presented always makes me feel very nostalgic. It's like watching some old internet videos from back in the day, when everything felt less saturated and more real.

DONATIONALERTS. Few days ago I have managed to successfully withdraw the money that several bros sent my way during my Queen Trainer Release stream way back when. That means the system is working and I can use it in my future streams. Should be fun, it has text to speech generation and everything. Here is a link just in case: https://www.donationalerts.com/r/akabur

DOING MY HOMEWORK. Since my next project will be featuring a lot of certain teenage-mutant-dick-loving reporter, I decided to brush up on the lore. I have found a big TMNT comics collection on my HDD and slowly going through it. It's funny to me how, while the turtles themselves tend to stay more or less in character no matter the artists, April is often depicted as just some random hot slut. I mean, her looks sometimes change quite drastically. She usually looks hot in any iteration though, so I am not complaining.

SHOP. Added an new item to the GALLERY/SHOP. Another blast from the past. Make sure to check it out.

THE WORK. This week I was busy with some personal stuff so I wasn't able to be as productive as I have hoped. That being said I still was able to find some time to work on more art assets and also took a lot of notes related to the game's main story and side events. I just wish I did more, but that's just how I always feel to be honest XD

THAT IS IT. I will share some more details in this weeks EXTRA!! Post so make sure to check it out and I will see you all next week. Laterz!

Really? Steam deck desktop mode works great for me so far. Although I just play games and watch videos on it and do some internet browsing. -_-

Nothing ever works on Linux. You try to to basic things, it doesn't work, you ask "Linux experts" why Linux is such a cr*p and then tell you "no no Linux is great, it's just you have Debian Fedora dist but this software is built for Arch dist, so you need these 38 terminal commands to make it work!". You do those 38 commands, and it still doesn't work, because Idk your super user is not super enough or some system files are locked or something else. Literally right now I tried to open Chrome on my Steam Deck and it gives me some error on launch. I didn't even touch it, just broke just cause

TrapHunter69

You can always create a bootable USB of most Linux distros so that you can try them out without installing. Try a couple of them till you find one that suits, then you can install that.

TMNT games on SEGA Génesis for fantastic :)

AKAMAN

Steamdeck is the future of gaming for me personally. Especially since all I play lately is old games :)

AKAMAN

Sounds interesting.

AKAMAN

Thank you very much for all the info. It will come in handy when I start diving deeper into this.

AKAMAN

XD

AKAMAN

Yeah, I don't feature it much in my new work, but maybe I should. It's an interesting theme to explore. A new frontier XD

AKAMAN

It's called TMNT adventures for the men of culture. In a parallel universe somewhere it was released already I am sure :)

AKAMAN

Yeah, I imagine if I get stuck with something Linux related I could always ask you guys for advice. Thanks :)

AKAMAN

Since to make things as clean and sleek as possible when it comes to dolls, new costumes take time to create. But you should definitely expect quite a few new ones. :)

AKAMAN

Thank you for your support as usual. I agree, the magic carpet doesn't get much screen time in my games and yet it's an interesting thing to explore. One one hand it's not human but alive on the other it's not an animal so educational scenes with it won't get me into trouble :)

AKAMAN

Well to form my own opinion on this I need to give it a try myself. :)

AKAMAN

Thanks. Yeah, I imagine it will take some effort, but all good things require that :)

AKAMAN

Yes, I was a bit scared at first but after looking into it a bit I realized that it isn't as scary as I thought :)

AKAMAN

Thank you XD

AKAMAN

Added to favorites. Thank you.

AKAMAN

Well I am still only looking into it, but yes, that is something I definitely want to do. The thing is until I begun to lock into it I had a very wrong impression of Linux, but the more I learn the more I realizes that I should have switched to it a while ago. :)

AKAMAN

Hi I changed to Linux like 12 years ago nice that you are doing the same. I always recommend Linux. WIndows its okay for me but only for some video games for real work I log on to linux.

mad2bhere

I would suggest you this website where there are some tutorial about Linux and Krita. https://www.davidrevoy.com/categorie3/tutorials-brushes-extras

sior_barba

Oooh, new art! Nice! Also got no advice for Linux but good luck!!

Trevor Bond

It's easier to get used to than you think. I'm not sure what programs you use for work but I think you should probably be able to get them working on Linux. I recommend Mint if you're still figuring out your distro, it has all the benefits of running Ubuntu with some extra windows-like features to help with the transition.

retronymph

I've been running linux from before the end of windows 7. It takes time to get used to things, so take your time. I'm still learning more about it all the time, but I'm no power user. Good luck!

Zzyyxxzz

I've been using Linux Ubuntu for the past year on a few of my systems with few problems, but this os only from a gaming perspective.

trollmahn

It's my lucky day! Under The Magic Carpet Ride is my favorite one-page comic! I would have loved a new version of this scene in Queen Trainer, for example. I bought the art from the shop, thank you! And the animated gif at the end of the post with April... it's awesome! The week is off to a great start, thanks! (And I'm writing this before even seeing the "extra" post for subscribers.)

MrLazare

Cant wait for this one, always loved April’s scenes in SC34. Hopefully lots of outfits to make her wear on Tv maybe even some news desk segments where things are happening below the desk.

James Shmo

We're here for tech support if you need help for your Linux install and use. Good luck.

Uthan The Perverse

May i ask from which movie is this scene? ;)

Jensen

That picture of Aladdin and Jasmine with the carpet is the first time I think I've seen the carpet in any of the games. It's funny because just last night I was wondering what happened to carpet.

WildMartin

It would be funny if we had a rotation of Aprils that changed every time the camera panned off her then came back. Not a serious suggestion but funny none the less

Oh right, forgot to mention, you can legit create a bootable USB drive + try Linux before installing for almost every distro. Distro. So load it up as a bootable USB, there is many programs that allow you to do that and make it easy. And then run it from the USB, see how you like it, if you don't like it reboot back into Windows, wipe the drive and try another one.

XDeminox

Honestly, most distros of Linux are so compact and small that you can easily dual boot without any issue. You just need a really good bootloader. I keep all of my Linux on a 1 TB SSD, The easiest possible distro to run is Ubuntu as it basically has its own software store instead of having to go through repos, you don't really need to know any command terminal so no bash no Cshell, etc. If you want an experience that is very close to Windows XP, a lot of people prefer either mint, or Fedora KDE. I prefer Fedora gnome myself. I keep Windows around only for the few programs that won't run in Linux natively, like my Adobe suite.

XDeminox

Funny i was thinking of switching to linux this year as well. Been using the steam deck and SteamOS is pretty damn good; can play just about anything provided its within specs and doesn't have ridiculous anticheat software. Managed to get the windows version of Queen trainer to run.

Vampire Lord

Good luck with your eventual move to Linux, and have fun with the TMNT, maybe also play some games again, they are usually good. Keep up the great job!
