Update: Name Change + Another Round of Covid

Hey there everyone!

I've been a bit quiet, and been getting a little behind on my usual updates and work on the next audio (am I ever on time? I am forever grateful you guys put up with me and my antics), and just wanted to give a little update. Spoiler alert: I got covid for the second time in 6 months right when I thought I'd have a good chunk of free time.

Thankfully, I didn't get nearly as sick as I did last time, but boy does the fatigue hang around longer than I'd like. My energy is mostly back at this point, and I have gotten started writing up the next audio, and should start making my usual progress.

But! You saw the title, you thought "oh dear, what is this man doing now?" and I just kinda brushed past it, soooo: be prepared.

As the title suggests, I am going to be doing a username change/"rebrand" in the near future, so if you start seeing Patreon posts from someone with my same profile picture but a different name, don't freak out; give it a second look cause it's probably still me.

This has been something that I've been debating for a while now, and has been an idea in my mind kinda since the beginning, and I have a number of reasons for it. The main one being a question you ask me all the time: "What is PDaefaul? What does it mean?" And the answer is... well, nothing at all. It is a series of random letters arranged in a way to sound somewhat pronounceable. My ex actually originally came up with it when I kind of dabbled into the world of erotica, chosing it as a pen name: P. Daefaul
If you've tried saying that outloud, you might find that not only is it weird and confusing, but it can also sound a bit like "pitiful" or an even more unforunate word.

The final reason is that from the start, I have always tried to do SFW and NSFW voice acting equally, because who doesn't enjoy variety? But, as time goes on, I have found more and more people who have one or another issue with my alias being tied to NSFW creations. At first, my reaction was "well fuck 'em, if they can't get over their own boring bias, I don't wanna work with them", which for the most part is still true, but on some level I can understand not wanting a name you can find on Pornhub also showing up in an animation that you want people of all ages to watch. 

So, long story short: not only am I changing this name, but, I'll also be creating a SFW alternative to it. I don't plan on them being completely seperate or to pretend they're two different people. More so a: Jasper, and then Spicy Jasper. So that if you want to ignore one or the other, it's easy to do so, but if you want the best of both worlds, that's still an option. 

So! All that being said, expect to see a few things:

1: The monthly review video for last month, cause fuck me I'm like 3 weeks late on that I'm so sorry

2: The WIP script for the next audio soon, once I've compiled enough notes that I'm ready to crank it out

3: A different name for all my channels.... but not necessarily one that's "new" to you. What would be the point of choosing a new name, if I wasn't going to try to be a clever bastard with it?
