Small Farm

I was heading to Laiden and didn’t have a copper to my name so when a couple of farmers offered some food and a night of sleep in their barn I couldn't refuse.
I woke up in the middle of the night to a feint wailing sound coming from beneath me of all places. Fumbling around in the dark I noticed a hatch in the floor of the barn that had two separate locks on it. I started picking at them with what tools I could find and shortly after getting the first one open a yellow glow started moving towards the barn door.
I was able to make it behind the door just in time as it was pushed open, the light of a torch filling the room.
A man stepped in. Followed by another. And another. All wearing black masks with nothing but slits for the eyes.
I stabbed the last man in with the tools I found and bolted for the door, slamming it close behind me. I must have ran for hours because I didn't let my legs stop until the sun was on my face and the white walls of Laiden were on the horizon.
I tried drawing with a new brush this time around and also a few different painting techniques. I also recorded a time lapse of the line art that can be found here!
