2025-05-20 00:34:02 +0000 UTCWow. A nice shoutout about Busen Memo, but without mention of what Busen Memo actually is. I do actually have a copy of it. Also noted: I have a game which comes with a realistic-looking dart/cap gun combination which has a silencer on it. (Supergang). And also two games which include fire as a play element. The first is Waldschattenspiele where you MOVE THE CANDLE AROUND THE BOARD. And it is a kid’s game. Modern versions use an led tea candle. The bonkers one is Vulkano. The board is a ceramic plate. There is an unlit candle in the middle, and you place pieces to build a chain from your corner to the center—with marbles as a blocker. The fact that the pieces are actually bits of lamp wick SOAKED IN OIL. And the winner takes a match and uses it to light their chain on fire to finish the game. Vulkano is actually an ok game if a bit light. But ending the game BY SETTING YOUR PIECES ON FIRE gets major kudos from me.
