The first 30mins are recap from the series which you could skip cause the actual title card for the movie shows up and its all new content from there, so its barely even a movie its only an hour or so long. Wouldn't be a huge time commitment. I just watched it finally and it was absolutely incredible. One of, if not the, best part of all of Fruits Basket. Had me crying my eyes out. Please watch!

But otherwise yeah, the world map kinda gives it away but Togashi basically just rearranged some continents, renamed a few places, (except for Japan for some reason) and called it a day lol.

2023-11-08 23:42:44 +0000 UTC100% HxH has a pretty small soundtrack relative to it's size, which has the effect of them needing to reuse certain tracks a lot. (Most notably during the Exam and a certain later arc) But man, some of the tracks are just beyond perfect for the scenes they accompany.

2023-11-08 23:36:58 +0000 UTCFinally, the Hunter Exam is over? It kinda pisses me off just how realistic that part is, with the whole stringing you along thing. Just when you think you're done, here comes the next thing. Joking aside, I was waiting for your reaction to seeing the perks of a hunter license, and it was exactly as I expected lol. Being able to travel almost anywhere with access to most public facilities with no restrictions is a cheat code for life. It's honestly the biggest reason I see for Leorio to keep his license instead of selling it. You can still make way more money with one than without, and with it, fulfilling his doctor dream is much easier. Also, Hisoka's VA totally wins the award for best unsettling voice. Never fails to make me deeply uncomfortable.
