Good morning, Classmates!
Patrick here, and well... it's come to this. Issue #11 marks the grand finale of THE BRIGAYDE.
Did I plan for it to end here? Not exactly. But does it wrap up the series in a satisfying way? Absolutely.
Since its 2016 debut, THE BRIGAYDE was meant to be an ongoing saga. Neither David Cantero nor I imagined cutting it short. But life, as they say, finds a way to throw curveballs. The pandemic and inflation forced us to rethink things.
Rather than dwell on the "whys," let's focus on the "how." This issue ties up loose ends while leaving room for hope and wonder. You'll meet new characters who were always meant to be part of the story, and others, like the Collector, will help fast-forward the action in (hopefully) an organic way.
But remember, endings aren't always bad. The end of THE BRIGAYDE isn't a tragedy, but a fork in the road. It opens up exciting new possibilities for our hunks, and the potential for incredible new comics.
So, who is that mysterious winged character the Collector is tormenting? Let's find out together. Strap in, Classmates. It's gonna be one heck of a ride!
The final colors are next.
