Hello, I'm Satoh.

I would like to wish you a Happy New Year.

As in the last year, the world is still in a very serious situation.

I hope things will calm down this year as I continue to work on SxM2.

I'm currently working on the monsters of the third stratum, and I'm about 2/3 of the way through.

There are still many motifs I want to draw,

and I'm having a lot of fun trying to imagine what design I should use for the monsters.

When I design a monster, the most important thing is to make it cute, of course.

But I also consider the simplicity of the monster's appearance to be important.

Especially since the screen of RPG Maker is small and the resolution is low, each monster will be displayed in a much smaller size.

Even if I draw detailed decorations, they will look messy due to the reduction.

So, as much as possible, I try to express the motifs through the overall silhouette and color.

In this letter, I'll introduce you two new monsters.

This is one of the new monsters, White Cat.

I designed this monster as a counterpart to Black Cat, the monster I introduced last time.

He is a very earnest and delicate looking monster.

This is another one of the new monsters, Crepe Lancer.

As the name implies, he' s a monster based on a crepe.

He's an attacker who fights with a large forked spear.

This time, with sincere gratitude for you, supporters,

I drew a "New Year 2021"-themed special illustration for you.

Here's Phoenix from the fire monsters.

I drew him with a wish of "revival" because he is a monster of fortune,

following the New Year illustration.

The firebird, or phoenix, is a legendary being that symbolizes resurrection. When it reaches the end of its life, it burns itself in flames and then comes back to life.

SxM's phoenix design is based on the phoenix of Chinese mythology, so the costume is in the style of a Chinese dress.

Since Revive is a very strong skill, many players may have taken him as a healer.
