This is probably my favorite episode of this Cour I wasn’t caught up with the manga yet so it was a complete surprise for me. Everything about it is great from us seeing a bit more into the past and how the Stern Ritter would ultimately form to the surprisingly complex relationship between Haschwalth and Bazz-B that seemingly came out of know where. There is a ton of symbolism and subtle eye movements and body language packed into this episode. It really allows you to get a sense for the characters if you know what to look for.

2025-12-03 22:44:45 +0000 UTCThe FriEND titlecard in one of my favorites, really shows the bittersweet ending of this fight. Also, Kubo confirmed that Bazz and Jugram having Schrifts that were each other's initials, was a intentional nod to their connection. Jugram can be hard to read, but if you observe how he seems to be walking in a unsteady manner up the stairs and how the blood running down his face looks like a tear, it is clear that he is torn up about what he just did.
