Hey chooms, here is the base idea I'm running with for the next map which is a phased one, smaller than the last cause that one was stupid big.
Set in the feywild since the weirdness of that place makes this idea seem more plausible, and also y'all know I love my feywild maps.
The basic idea is that the party would enter into an area beset on both sides by walls of impassible plants and the only way out is forward (or back I guess, but that's for cowards).
The plant life is extremely hostile and will send a huge barrier of spiky vines down the path to smash the party to mush.
The party would need to get to dips/holes in the terrain before the barrier reaches them to avoid disaster.
The ground have difficult terrain of various forms to make it more challenging that just running from hole to hole, I'm also thinking that the holes could pose a lesser threat too somehow, perhaps a venus flytrap sort of deal if a player stays on it too long, still very much in brainstorm.
The barrier will also sweep back up from the bottom and repeat (how many times is up to the DM ultimately).
Hopefully that sounds like a fun phased map that isn't too specific!
