He has spent most of his life buried in academia, choosing a relatively unpopular research field—which has led to frequent financial hardships. But the real burden he carries isn't money... it's something much deeper. Can you uncover the truth behind his suffering and help him heal?

Leonard was one of the earliest characters designed for this game. From the start, he was created as a married man—a “super pushover husband” who’s been emotionally manipulated for years. His wife, practically villainous in nature, gaslighted both Leonard and their daughter, driving a wedge between them. Busy with work, Leonard only realized this far too late. Combined with low funding in his research field, dwindling grad students, and the constant scolding at home, Leonard’s self-esteem plummeted before he was ultimately captured and brought to the dungeon. And things only got worse once he arrived… 💔

Despite his gloom and physical ineptitude, Leonard is a surprisingly valuable member of the survivor group. 📜 He’s well-read, knowledgeable in archaeology and ancient languages, and acts as a key figure in both deciphering the dungeon and facilitating communication with certain other survivors. 🗣️ His age also gives him a respected, almost paternal role among the others, because he’s not particularly aggressive or harsh either. But even if he escapes, he’ll be returning to a reality that’s almost as cruel as this dungeon. Helping Leonard open his heart again will be the emotional core of his romance route. 💕
