Trick or Treat

It was Halloween and some friends and I were out causing mischief. We TP'd houses, did some ding dong ditches, as well as some other fun pranks. But when we got to the house that was rumored to be the home of a witch, all my other friends chickened out. I on the other hand, didn't believe in witches. I was determined to prank this house regardless.

So I went up to the front door, pushed the doorbell, and quick turned on my heels to run. However, before I had a chance to move, I felt a gentle hand grab my shoulder. I turned back around to see a beautiful young girl behind me.

"Where are you running off to in such a hurry?" She asked.

"Um, I wasn't running anywhere, just trying to see where my friends went," I lied in a panic. "But since they seem to be gone, um, trick or treat?"

She giggled. I was surprised at just how cute she was.

"Aren't you a little old for trick or treating?" She asked. "And where's your costume? You don't even have a bag for candy!"

"I, uh, um..." I struggled to come up with an answer.

She booped me on the nose and giggled again.

"I don't have any treats to give you," she said, "but I do love tricks! Don't you?"

I tried to answer, but began to feel strange. I couldn't open my mouth and I was getting dizzy. I felt my body begin to collapse in on itself. I didn't know what was happening to me, but I got a strong sense that I had been foolish to not believe in witches. By the time I stopped changing, I felt like all that was left of me was my head. I couldn't feel any other part of my body, and my view was that of a head sitting on the floor. She reached down and picked me up.

"Looks like I got myself a real life Jack-O-Lantern!"

She took me into the house and shut the door behind her. She then placed me in front of the window as a warning to any one else who may come knocking on her door. So heed my warning. If you have a local witch, DO NOT prank her on Halloween. I guarantee, you will live to regret it...
