Mini Update!

What's up, Y'all?

Just wanted to drop a micro update about a couple different things:

First of all, version 1.0 of my unofficial, non commercial Dark Souls tabletop RPG is complete!

This bad boy can finally hit your table - you can download the core book and all necessary sheets and handouts for free here:

I encourage you to share the game with any Dark Souls fans you know, especially the ones who purchased SteamForged Games' board game and want to find additional uses for those sweet miniatures! Zombicide: Black Plague models are another great choice for the game.

Our second update is about Blood Red Blossoms. After pondering my options for a while I have decided to set the game during the Sengoku period of Japanese history. There will be some minor uchronic elements (namely the presence of the Red Hats, a pilgrim order of demon hunters/problem solvers), but most of it will be just like regular history. Only with demons, yōkai and creatures from folklore.

There are a couple reasons for this choice:

So that's it. BRB is gonna move to Sengoku Japan! I have also modified the character sheet in accordance to this choice and some of your suggestions from the previous post, especially Adrian Brooks'!

Oh, and by the way, I changed the Kanji on the cover following advice from a native Japanese speaker proficient in medieval Japanese!

Please do keep up the great feedback, and have a nice day/evening/night!

PS: this is an alternative PDF I did for that goal. It's a little bit heavy, probably 'cause I used a free PDF printer. http://lordlance.noip.me:10001/share.cgi?ssid=0Yt0nBt The password for the login is: scarica

Minor note: I found REALLY useful to print most of the Sheet in the auxiliary PDF with a "multiple pages" poster setting, so a single A4 of your was splitted onto 2 different A4, simulating an A3. In particular, that was useful for Area sheets, World sheets and enemies sheets. I really needed that extra space!

100% correct.

Other clarification about the Beam Attack monster ability. It says that it's a Ranged Attack, and it uses the Damage Margin. Because this ability targets up to 3 different enemies, in 3 different rings, is the inflicted damage recalculated for every ring? So, let's say I use a "6" to launch the Beam Attack, and my "standard" calculated moster damage is 12, do I inflict 17 damages to the enemy located in Forward Ring, 15 damages to the one located in Defensive Ring, and 13 damages to the farther one, in the Back Ring?
